Description

Longor is a traditional variety of French origin, distinguishing itself through its unique long shape. It is a mid-early variety and produces very long shallots with tough, red copper-coloured skin. Longor shallots are often also called banana shallots. The variety can be grown on any soil type and is suitable for short-term storage. Each bulb will produce 6 to 8 shallots.

Strong and flavoursome with good storage quality. Great in salads or casseroles! Hardy, autumn or spring planting.
Longor Shallots are netted and are approximately 500g in total weight (approx 20-30 bulbs, SIZE 15x35MM)

 

Plant this shallot from December to April, 6cm deep and 12cm apart.
